Generic vs Name brand

All about saving money.... When brands do not work for some, I think other moms will benefit. Desitin is a reputable brand of ointment people have relied upon for generations. However, I saved the dollar difference between the name brand Desitin and the Target brand, and have come to realize the dollar is not worth saving! The Target brand ointment appears to be similar to Desitin. Over time the generic brand continues to be very runny and oily vs the Desitin brand. Being a mom and changing diapers of a child who has an uncomfortable rash, its well worth going for the name brand in this situation.
